Happy 50 years of Title IX!

Arizona Athletics will continue its celebration of the 50th anniversary of the enactment of Title IX with a day-long recognition on Thursday, June 23 on the campus of the University of Arizona. The athletics department's special programming begins with a field day for youths, grades kindergarten to eighth, to participate in sports and connect with Arizona's student-athletes. Hall of Fame administrator and Arizona Trail Blazer, Rocky LaRose, will be the morning's keynote speaker. The department will also host an informative panel to discuss the history of Title IX and its impact on women's sports at Arizona and throughout the nation.

Field Day will begin at 9 a.m. (MST) on Thursday, June 23 with various activities and stations set up in the Cole and Jeannie Davis Sports Center. Parents will be asked to accompany their children throughout the morning before the lunchtime panel begins at 11:30 a.m. (MST). A free meal will be provided to those who reserve a ticket for the lunchtime panel.
